4 Straight!!!!!!!!

Looks like we are starting to play a little better. Everyone is starting to accept what they need to do to win. Hopefully tonight we can get a look at the new players we just got. I am interested to see just how we are going to use everyone. By the way has anyone noticed the new patchwork on the field that almost blew out Van Rossoms' knee. I don't know what the deal is but the field is in terrible shape this year. I know we had the ice rink, but they bulldozed all of it and started over. I don't see why it is in such bad shape...all over, not just the patches. I sure hope it gets fixed by the All-Star game, because if you are showcasing your field it doesn't show much on your part if the playing surface is terrible.

I have heard differennt things but it would be interesting to know why Josh did not come back. This is the worst field in the league. Even York, for just being put down and a few seams looks better than this.

There is no excuse for it. I heard this guy was from a golf course. You guys are playing baseball, not putting and chipping. Maybe that's the way you replace grass on a golf course, but not a baseball field.

If one of our best defensive players on the team was lost to injury doing that, the grounds keeper should be fired. It is sad to say but this is NOT a All Star field and it reflects on the intire community. I hope saying something helps get things turned around on this playing surface.

I have also noticed an increasing number of bad hops. I was down on the field Sunday playing catch and you can see up close how bad it is.

All I can say is BE CAREFUL.

Josh went to WI he got a lot more money, company truck and expenses to relocate to WI, I would have left as well. Doesnt seem like we want to hold onto anyone when they are due a raise or anything

Sounds right. Sometimes you have to pay for the best. I am sure (or hope) someone is kicking themselves on that move. I am sure they could have got a Sponsor for a truck for him just like Faulkner Chevrolet does for Rick.

What happened between you and Martinez today? You clearly had the ball. I am surprised he did not get out of the way. It seemed like that was a turnng point in the game. I stayed for the whole game. There was talk on the radio that we might see your famous knuckle ball. Maybe another time. It was fun seeing Russ pitch. I know I was into it. Kind of cheered everyone up even though the game was going down.

Hey Jeremy,

Sorry about the first half! You are being missed over at Jason G's blog! You seem to be the smartest guy on the team and it is always refreshing to hear that someone is thinking. We're all pissed about the lack of support BASA has dished out to you guys and hopefully change will come soon. i'm actually hoping that at this point Somerset wins the first half so BASA looks bad. I'm also praying that you get a owner who takes care of his guys, is all about just Barnstormer championships and isn't in it just for his own wallet.

hey forget all of you guys who think the field is garbage. if you can do any better im sure we will be more than happy to let you come down and lend a hand . besides this isnt the majors. here is a little saying "go big time, and get big time." you are some ungratefull people. you are lucky that you get that. im a part time grounds worker and damn proud of this field. its not like you guys would be winning if the field was any better. you play the game and we will worry about the field. bumbs

I'm also part time and am proud of all the hard work that we put into this field. If you want major league quality try making it to the major leagues first! We have 2 full time guys and 3 game day guys if you don't feel the field is up to par then you can start paying my salary and i'll be here all the time to make sure there are no bad hops and thatt every blade of grass is perfectly watered.I have busted my ass day after day for this field so until you know what this job entails both of you can either put up or shut up!

i'm not trying to have a major league field, this is professional baseball in case you forgot not college or high school. all we expect is the field to look and play like a pro baseball field. it was the last two years, now it isn't, so how that happen? maybe you should go to some of the other fields in this league and you will see what i'm talking about. it just seems like everytime a team comes in they ask "what is going on with the field? it used to be a lot better.

Jeremy-when you are hitting .300 you will have the right to complain about the field. Until then, spend more time in the cage and less time on your website.

You should make a blog about Quincy whooping you on Opening Day during batting pratice. What a team player you are.

Also, where are your stats for your affiliated ball experience? I'd be embarassed to post them too.

apparently some people take this stuff way too seriously, and also have some misinformation about things that happened on opening day. not to mention that what i wrote was mainly directed at the front office, i know that the grounds crew doesn't have much of a budget and they had an ice rink on it in the winter. the field also looks better since we came back from somerset. i am pretty much done on the subject, since i pretty much know who quincy fan is, maybe you should muster up any kind of courage and actually use your own name instead of an "alias". i really don't care if anyone checks my stats in affiliated ball, my first year when i played everyday did very well, but when you don't play everyday and you are signed as a free agent it is hard to get playing time over someone they sign for $200,000 or more. anyways, i am done with the whole discussion.

Jeremy-please take some time to read up on spelling and grammar. I do not know how they do things in Illinois, but most people start sentences with capital letters.

Also, the size of your signing bonus has nothing to do with talent. Here is an example:

Tom Brady-6th round pick; 3 Super Bowl Rings
Ryan Leaf-2nd overall pick; never completed a pass in the NFL

Take the time off over the All Star Break and brush up on your grammar, son.
