We need something...

Hey everyone, don't really know what to say about everything. Losing Delgado hurts, I was hoping we were going to use him more. We aren't winning any games, that sucks, and I don't know if we are going to get anyone to replace Clyde or Dario. I don't see how we are supposed to win without replacing what we lost in those two. Anyways, I am very frustrated at the situation, it just seems like there is not a big concern to replace the bats we lost in the lineup. It's pretty bad when people on the other team ask you if you have a bunch of players hurt or something. I know we have good players here that can play, we just need some help to fill in the holes we have. I hope we get it soon because I hat losing like this.

We need a BIG lefty and maybe a BIG righty power hitter to replace Clyde and Dario.

One thing that would be neat is to find out why each player picked the music they use to go to the plate. Some are the same all the time, some change. I definatly like Jutt's new one.

Thanks and keep up the blogging.

Hang in there, man. Fielding and pitching are picking up and getting much better and saturday showed that there's a lot of hitting potential not yet being realized. Oh sure, we fans like to complain after a loss and second guess what happened...what kind of fans would we be if we didn't...but we'll be there for the next game as long as you guys keep swinging the bats.

Jeremy,
Is there any talk among the players as to who gets paid what? And if so, is there any animosity? Is it well-known amongst the team that the organization is saving money by not bringing-in better players?

There really isn't animosity among players as to what we are making, mainly because none of us make enough here to make a living. The league cap is $3000 p/mo, however, no one on our team makes that and very very few in the league do either. Pretty much the only ones making that are in Long Island, MLB All-Stars. Not to mention we only get that during the season, so we are on our own after the season is over. Plus there is no health, dental, or any other type of insurance that comes along with that. I do though, think they are trying to get as much as they can without spending what they should to win. I can almost guarantee that we are way under budget from last years championship team.

Good point Jeremy. If the team is under budget for players and are not winning or willing to go out and get a few big bats, then they are going to see a lose in revenue at the gates.

Some of us come (win or loose) because we love baseball, but some come because the team wins.

No insurance?? What happens if you break an elbow playing ball? Does the team have you covered for baseball-related injury?

Only baseball related injuries are covered, but it is only for the season. If someone slices their hand at home making dinner we have nothing but a full hospital bill to pay from our substantial checks...

Jeremy, could it be Frank isn't asking for replacements? From what he says in the paper I gather he feels like they're not needed and I strongly disagree with that.I either listen or attend every game and I know they are pitching around you..since the 4&5 spot are so weak.

OOPS, I forgot your batting 4th this year in that post...I meant the 5 and 6th spots are weak...Sorry

What are your thoughts on Ambrosini joining the club? He went 2-4 today. Not bad for the first time seeing live pitching this year.

Jeremy,
Who are the guys that care about the actual team and its Win/Loss record? Are most of the guys more concerned with themselves? How many guys still retain an agent? Do you?

JNTODD25 said...

Everyone really does care about winning on the team, some be cause tey want to win some know your team gets noticed more when you win. I did not have an agent for 2004-2006 and it did not help my situation much although i did get myself signed twice with no help, but negotiating was hard since they knew i wanted to be signed pretty bad, so i only got the minimum of 1200 per month with the hopes of a chance to play and prove myself for the next season. I never got that chance though with either. A lot of guys do have agents though.

Tell the guys to keep their heads up. Winning will come and we know you guys want to win. The pitching is coming around and the bats are too. The problem is when the bats are hot, the pitching not and when the pitching hot, the bats are not. We just got to get them on the same page.

Big 12 game home stand coming up and I know I will be there every game rooting. Remember, the glass is half full.

I occasionally visit the park with my family.....I was there opening night and the team I watched then was not the team I saw play today...however, I would like to share some insight on my visit today....

First, we had tickets to the meet and greet the players at noon. why did only 3 players show for this event? how do you expect to maintain fan support if the team does not participate in these advertised activities?

Secondly, we sat near the bullpen and what I don't understand is how do you expect to have team spirit and support among the players when they are over there checking out fans, asking girls for numbers and not paying any attention to the game that is being played. I guess if they have the attitude of "I don't care" does that affect the attitude of those players out on the field? They didn't care when Danny hit his homerun, how is that cheering for your own teammates?

Good luck and I do hope the bats start swinging and runs are being scored.....
