I just want to say one thing. I am not trying to run the team, nor am I trying to undermine Frank. I am just expressing my opinions on the season. Anyone who thinks I am trying to do anything other than that is taking this whole blog thing a little to seriously. I am just giving an avenue for people to get to the team in a way that hasn't been there in the past. I have not talked down any of my teammates at all, and if you look back through my archive you will see that I thought Delgado should be playing on a regular basis before the season even started. He is a good hitter with a proven track record in this league. Whether he should DH or be at 3rd base doesn't matter. It is hard to leave a guy on the bench with his ability when we need offensive help, that is all I am saying. As for any other decisions players always have ideas on what could work better, if you don't you never learn anything about this game. It is always good to question moves or substitutions, it makes you more knowledgable about the game. Anyways, we have a few things to work on and hopefully we can get it all sorted out.

Most of us (true fans) understand your comments and views and enjoy them. One thing that would be nice is if you could get other players to give insight into themselves. Something like a "Player of the Week" profile. They could even do the writing. I am sure people would leave questions and comments. Good luck the rest of the week. It will start to come together.
I think your doing fine as I Q what's happening too and have said until we get another power hitter..Delgado should play everyday. I also think Woods should move to 2nd if he can play it til Hart gets going with Van Rossum playing Rightfield. I think it would add more Punch to the Lineup.
FYI--I heard York plans on doing some head hunting to show that they are not intimidated. Tell your teammates that York is bound to get served!
I like what Frank is doing with Woods and Van Rossum. Using them in right field depending on which side the pitching is coming from. Taking Hart out of the line up would be a big mistake. His offense may be struggling but his defense is unbelievable. He has great range and is not afraid to get dirty.
I don't see York doing any head-hunting. I think it is coming from the fans. This is going to be a great revilrey and I doubt (I hope I am right) that there is going to be any cheap shots. The only person on the team that has something to prove to Lancaster is Hake and he is letting his bat do the talking.
Jeremy- Say what you want, but you are doing exactly what you say you aren't doing. Imagine if Jeter came out and said Scott Proctor should be pitching more at the end of games. UMMMMMM, he would be undermining the person that is making the decision to NOT have him pitch at the end of games. The fact that you think Delgado should be playing more than he is, means you are publicly disagreeing with the man paid to fill in the line-up card.
Maybe Delgado can't read this blog but Frank sure can. Maybe he'll give Delgado your at bats?
It's funny how someone on the Revolutions blog site left a similar message warning York players that Lancaster was going to play "a little bean ball" to envoke a bench clearing.
Funny how it is always someone anonymous that leaves remarks like that. No one is undermining anyone when it is a common discussion amongst the team and Frank himself. Since you don't know details you should probably be very careful what you say, since you don't know. It is a common question with Delgado since he has been an all-star in this league more than once. It is only beneficial for the team to give him a chance to regain his form from 05. Since he had a "down" year hitting 15 HR, if you want to call it that, he has the potential to be the big right handed bat in our lineup that could make a difference. Another thing, what about the comment about Delgado not being able to read, are you just racist, or stupid??? Oh, and another thing, I don't think I am going to worry about losing any at bats either, but thanks for bringing that to my attention, since I am sure Frank will take your concern into account...
Hi JNT.
I agree with you.. anonymous? What is he so afraid of? I am hoping that he is saying, maybe Delgado doesn't have access to a computer... he just used very poor wording.
I hope this "War Of The Roses" thing doesn't get out of hand. It should always be a very FRIENDLY rivalry.
As for your blog. I've been reading it since the infield was an ice rink and appreciate what you have to say.
I enjoy hearing your comments as a player and your perspectives. I am sure if the front office, Frank, or any player had a problem with what you are saying or doing, they would ask you to stop and I am sure you would.
Enough said. You can do me one favor. Don't give these guys (anonymous) the benefit of justifying what you are doing. You are just playing their game.
If the true fans of the team did not think you were doing the right thing, they would tell you to your face before or after a game. I know I would.
Good luck tonight. Let's take both of them.
Have a good game Jeremy! We'll be rootin for ya!
Sorry about the Anonymous. It's just easier and quick to fire-off a post that way.
The point is this, just play, just hit the ball. Unless Frank hands you the line-up card to fill out, keep things to yourself. And if anyone dares compare Schilling and Shonda to Jeremy Todd, gimme a break.
I dare compare punk!
They are both ball players with teammates, coaches and blogs. Sure Schilling is on a bigger stage but to me I would think that in some peoples eyes that would be even more of a potential hazard. His teammates don't seem to care what he says because if they did I'm sure he would stop.
And you mentioned Jeter. Are you a Yankees fan?
GREAT job tonight, Jeremy. Now THAT was a championship team!
You nailed it on Delgado. No playing time makes for a unhappy camper. Good luck tonight. Hopefully you guys will have a game like Saturday night.
